Product description: This is a 9" x5"x5" wire sculpture with golden 'leaflets.' The wire sculpture forms the frame of a weeping birch, and deconstructed links from a golden chain elegantly adorn the sculpture as leaves on the tree.

Process description: I formed the wire frame of the weeping birch sapling with 20 Gauge aluminum wire. A affixed each golden leaflet with a micro dot of E6000 industrial adhesive in an alternate pattern along the branches and the trunk.

Lessons learned: Persistent application of a simple, intricate pattern is a strategy I really love. Also, use 'final version' materials even for drafts because you might end up committed to a draft (in this case, I wish I used silver wire for the tree trunk and branches).
